This presentation can be offered by schools, churches and community organizations as a community service.
Participants will:

  • Learn what kids are doing on MySpace and similar sites
  • Find out what account settings are important for safety.
  • Explore issues/pressures facing today’s kids online.
  • Develop a deeper understanding of today’s youth culture and how it shapes character.
  • Discover how to communicate values (spiritual and moral) to kids through the use of MySpace.com and the Internet.

Social Networking Safety For KIDS (3rd-6th Grade)
This assembly program equips kids to:

  • protect their personal info
  • handle and avoid cyber-bullies
  • recognize and avoid predators
  • make good choices when publishing photos & more

MySpace MyChoices  for Middle and High School Students
A unique assembly program to help teens:

  • understand the concept and risks of social reputation
  • think critically about publishing choices
  • implement good social media habits for a bright future

MySpace MySuccess for Older Teens and Young Adults

 In this 1 hour motivational talk for teens and young adults, Michelle uses entertaining stories about MySpace as the launching pad for helping teens and young adults see how they can use MySpace to create a positive vision of self, define their dreams and learn how to make decisions that lead to success. Kids will be inspired to develop their MySpace account to positively influence peers, teachers, college admissions representatives, potential employers and most importantly, their own self-esteem.

This program helps educators to:

  • Identify with parents who aren’t aware of the ins and outs of life on MySpace
  • Understand how kids use social networking
  • Deal with the serious issues facing educators on social networking sites
  • Explore the future growth of social networking in all realms of society
  • Consider positive ways to use social networking in the educational environment

Lost in MySpace™ For Youth Ministers
This program equips youth ministry workers to:

  • Identify with parents who aren’t aware of the ins and outs of life on MySpace
  • Understand how kids use social networking
  • Explore issues that may arise between parents and ministry workers
    and kids and ministry workers when myspace is used as a ministry tool
  • Expand their perspective of Internet ministry through video interviews of other Student ministry leaders and small group discussion
